Every once in a while, if you are lucky, you run across a great bull. This is one such bull. My dear friend, Kenney Trousdale and I were hunting in the Moyowosi Game Reserve when we spotted a small herd of buffalo grazing out in the open plain ahead. We got out of the truck and made our stalk. Because the herd was busy feeding, their heads were down making it impossible to see every head clearly although I felt I had seen enough to decide which bull I wanted. But to be honest, I had not seen this bull or I would have run after him myself! Instead, I told Kenney to stay with me as we were going to stalk toward a group on the righthand side of the herd. This is where it gets interesting. Along the way, I looked up and to my left and suddenly saw this magnificent bull watching Kenney and I. I told Kenney to shoot and make it quick which he did. One shot from his .458 did the job. Kenney's hunt is featured in the movie M'Bogo. This bull measures nearly 43 inches wide and has one of the deepest dropping horns of any bull I've ever taken.
