Equally as important as any ammo carrier or knife & sheath is the belt you wear it with. To this end, I have contracted with internationally renowned Galco Gunleather to make for me what I consider to be the finest combination of hunting belts made. They come in two widths. First, a 1 ½" wide belt designed to be worn with your pants is available in sizes 34 to 46. This belt is made of premium saddle leather, solid brass buckle and stained a rich dark chocolate.

Equally as important as any ammo carrier or knife & sheath is the belt you wear it with. First, a 1 ½" wide belt designed to be worn with your pants is available in sizes 34 to 46. This belt is made of premium saddle leather, solid brass buckle and stained a rich dark chocolate.

Next, is the belt that you wear with the ammo carrier, knife & sheath and other accessories. This belt is 1 ¾ inches wide and is designed to be worn over your person and fairly loose (not tight) so that the ammo carrier and knife may be easily slid into position for quick and easy access. I recommend that you order this belt four to six inches larger than your waist size. For instance, I wear a 34 belt for my pants, but I use a 40 inch belt for my ammo carrier, knife and other accessories.

I have found over the years that this system of two belts is far and away the most beneficial. I do not like to have my ammo carrier fitted to the same belt as my pants because I want more flexibility than that. I want to be able to remove all the weight from around my waist when I`m not actually chasing after game. With two belts, I can remove the outer belt (with all its accessories) and hang it up so that I don`t have to lug it around all day for nothing. But when the hunt is on, I find it a simple matter to put it on and go.

Another benefit in using belts 1 ½ " and 1 ¾" inches thick is they don`t dig into your waist as do thin belts cutting off the blood circulation rendering you more tired than you would otherwise be had you been using a wider belt. I can tell you from long experience that a wider belt gives you much greater endurance over the long haul. Take it from me, these belts are amazing and worth every penny. Each custom made belt has the exclusive Nitro Express Safari Gear logo sewn onto the belt.
